I Remember

I remember my first glimpse of Japan while riding a train from Narita to Tokyo. Even a seemingly boring town like Chiba, which we rode through, was fascinating to me because it was unlike any place I’d ever been.

I remember laying on tatami and hearing tennis matches across the alleyway.

I remember being 10 and rolling a bowling ball, still inside it’s bag, down a large hill outside the bowling alley. My brother and I found this to be hilarious and much more fun than the bowling league practice we were supposed to be attending.
