I Remember

I remember exploring rain drainage tunnels as a 10 or 11 year old. We would kneel on skateboards and wheel ourselves through mucky, 3 inch deep water. We always thought it would take us someplace cool like in the Goonies.

I remember making a train with the other neighborhood kids out of all our radio flyers and big wheels. It got so long (and heavy) we could barely make it move.

I remember playing in a TV box my dad left in the garage. As the sun was setting it shined through a small hole in the box. It was then that I realized it was creating an inverted image on the opposite side of the box. Years later I came to understand this as a camera, I like to think of my childhood experience as foreshadowing.
