I Remember

I remember being in fourth grade and seeing my first eclipse. My class converted shoeboxes into eclipse-viewing devices and we watched through those. It was around this time that I became interested in science.

I remember my second grade talent show where I was a ‘magician’. My magic career ended that day with my inability to make the quarter pass through the jar. I remember being rather upset about this so my teacher let me try it again in front of my class later that day.

I remember staring at the world map (mercator projection) above my bed when I was a boy. I always thought the world looked like an elf (the americas and greenland) being chased by a bull (africa, europe and asia).
