I Remember

I remember the gym coach in one of the elementary schools I attended building a huge maze of those pads they lined the walls of the gymnasium with. He would fill the whole gym with these pads standing up right in one big maze. When he was ready for us, he sit on the basketball hoop and watch us go through the maze.

I remember drawing a picture of an aquarium with fish and hermit crabs in it, I was probably around five years old.

I remember being in music class, probably first or second grade, and looking over to see the girl next to me with her hands cupped over her mouth. From inbetween her cupped fingers a liquid was dribbling that had the unmistakable aroma of vomit. The teacher excused her but I remember thinking why the hell she didn’t just get up when she felt sick.
