I Remember

Jams and Skidz were too expensive, so mom made them for me

Posted on Aug 21, 2006

I remember when Jams and Skids were the popular pants and shorts to wear; probably around 1985 or 86. These fashionable and lively-colored pants were somewhat expensive and my mom wasn’t very receptive to filling a 10-year old’s wardrobe with pricey designer pants. However, my mother is a creative and talented individual who just bought some bolts of fabric that looked the same as the designer line and made me her own version of the popular clothing. They looked pretty cool and you could barely tell the difference. Thanks for doing that mom smile

This is hilarious!!!  Did it have the fake yield sign on the back pocket?  Is your name Patrick?  I knew a guy that his mom also made fake Skidz!

No fake yield sign unfortunately, but the bore the mark of my mother’s love - hehe.
