Painted bricks
Posted on May 26, 2006
I remember going to the middle school for swim lessons and being fascinated by the cinderblock walls in the school’s hallways. Each cinderblock had been painted by a student who had graduated from the middle school. Each block reflected the personality or interests of the person who painted it. It was too distracting not to stop and walk slowly down the hall, examining each brick.

That’s nice. I only remember the bugs that swam better than I did on the surface of the pool, and the steamy discomfort of the makeshift changing rooms.

I barely remember the pool area, but I know it didn’t have bugs!
