I Remember

Styrofoam plane

Posted on Sep 07, 2006

I remember my grandparents buying my brother and I this big styrofoam plane that came in three pieces. There were two wing pieces that slid into a large fuselage piece. Once assembled, the plane was probably 4 feet long by 5 feet wide. We would toss the thing down the hill in my grandparents back yard and sometimes the wing would fall off and it would crash. I saw one of these planes hanging in a second hand shop recently and it was probably the first time I’ve thought of this in over 20 years.

I remember those planes.  They would glide so far!  Have you seen any of these elsewhere?  I would really love to buy some up!

Thanks for the memory!

I did a little search and didn’t come up with those large, bomber style planes they used to have. However, I know they still make them because I saw one when visiting Burlington, VT in September.
