I Remember

We were strange kids

I remember flying kites with my brother and attaching GIJoe action figures to the kite. When the kite was high enough we would jerk the kite so they would “bail out”.

Ah! G.I.Joe, I too have done many “reenactments” for my figures growing up.

I really enjoy reading your blog entries, but in Bloglines I only get the title most of the time. Is this intentional? I’d love to be able to get the full entry.

I remember when the wind was strong enough we could strap on the faded white, yellow, and orange Fisher Price Action People parachutes with the navy blue rubber vinyl tethers.  It had several nubs in the belt as if there were some fat action people out there...Anyways, I also remember when Cobra commander commandeered their action van, for shame.

I remember every square inch of those Fisher Price parachutes. I kind of forgot we used them. Those things were so durable and fun to play with - nothing like the chinsy GIJoe paratrooper chute.

that sounds awesome..I remember putting toys on the treadmill when it was off, then putting it on and seeing which ones would stay on the longest...the kite thing still sounds like fun to me haha.
